How to Reach Doodhpathri
Doodhpathri is typically visited by taxi from Srinagar, roughly 1.5-2 hours each way depending on road conditions. The last stretch of road can be narrower and less developed than the main highways to Gulmarg or Pahalgam, so it's worth confirming current road conditions, especially outside peak season.

Doodhpathri and Yusmarg are both quieter, less-developed meadow alternatives to Gulmarg, closer in spirit to each other than to Gulmarg's more built-up ski-resort character. If you've already visited Gulmarg on a previous trip and want something different, either makes a good half-day addition to a Srinagar-based itinerary; if you're choosing between the two for a first offbeat visit, both are similar in character and either is a reasonable pick based on which fits your route better.
